Analysis of design support tools and technologies
Emotions and sensations affect the purchase bahaviour of the consumer and stimolate him during decision-making process.
The intention of our study is to analyse and understand the relation between object and user. This decision comes from our interest in the correlation between senses experience and conscious and unconscious emotions that guide us during purchase behaviour.
This relation needs to be studied and understood in order to create a project not only effective from a functional but also emotional point of view.
We want to define some guidelines and instruments to help designers to orientate themselves during the creation of a project with a specific focus on the user experience.
We did this creating a catalogue of instruments that can be used by designers to approach the relation object-subject considering physical aspects, that are the relation between senses, and emotional aspects, that are the registration and understanding of our feelings.
Thanks to this mapping work, we defined a support that can be used during all designing steps. The designing steps are based on our personal experience and on our own way of approaching to a project.
